Any one For Tennis? (Great British Tennis Weekend)
Staff at Cleeve Sports and Arts Centre would like to say a HUGE thank you to NE14 Tennis who organised and ran a tennis themed open day for us on Sunday 15th of May 2016.
The day consisted of a large number of challenges and activities for visitors of all ages to compete in, including fastest serve, cardio tennis, free play, coached tennis, school tournaments and a number of skill games. Amongst all of these, the big hit of the day was the cardio tennis, which took place twice throughout the day. It gave individuals a chance to combine the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercises, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning workout. NE14 Tennis also organised a raffle for visitors to have a chance of winning a years worth of free coaching for a child of their choice. The grand total of money raised will be available on NE14 Tennis' website.
Again, our staff and NE14 Tennis would like to thank all who supported, attended and contributed to this event. A special thank you must also go to our parent company Cleeve School and individuals from the school who kindly provided materials to ensure this event was a success.
We hope to conduct similar events in the near future, and look forward to your continued support.
